The Panda Project Logo

I have now developed the logo for the Panda Project. From the initial logo ideas and sketches, I have taken forward the idea of a panda holding a heart shaped balloon as this communicates a cutesy aesthetic which is engaging as well as being relevant towards the panda as they are soft and cute. The heart represents love for pandas which is the reason that the panda project exists and why people would get involved and help the cause.

Below shows developments and the process of creating the final logo which started as sketches. The illustration of the panda is kept minimal so that the logo is more memorable, the designs also use block colours as this is eye-catching and engaging, a block colour and bold aesthetic will be used throughout the branding and outcomes.

Initial sketches

Following peer feedback, the pink heart was voted best out of the different variations, the logo was then developed further through adding more detailing on the panda and balloon and incorporating the name into the balloon. However, it felt that the type didn't sit right in the ballon and that the balloon looked better as a block colour without text.

The logo was then developed through incorporating the title of the organisation 'The Panda Project' into the balloon string, this is a lot more interesting than just using the title within the balloon or next to the panda for example. Peer feedback also suggested that this worked well.
