This afternoon I have started to come up with some ideas and sketches for a logo for the panda campaign, the logo must include imagery of a panda as people need to know what the campaign is about instantly. It also needs to be memorable and engaging in order to spread awareness, raise money and grow a larger audience.
The logo and branding will follow a cutesy aesthetic as this represents the pandas personality as well as being engaging. The logo and overall branding also needs to be bold and intriguing as it is such an animal endangerment and vulnerability is such a big issue in todays society and the aim is to raise awareness and encourage more people to donate to panda charities/adopt them. The vibrant colour palette is also friendly and vibrant which invites people to join the mission to protect pandas and make sure they don't become endangered again.
Logo sketch ideas:
- Panda and a padlock- padlock represents protection (combine padlock imagery with a pandas paw or other panda features
- Panda holding a heart shaped balloon- cutesy aesthetic, engaging. heart represents love for pandas and the fact that they need more of it so that they can be safe
- Panda holding a flower or bamboo plant- cutesy aesthetic, engaging. Flower represents nature and the food that they eat
- Panda sat on a cloud- the dream of pandas never becoming endangered again
- Panda face with love hearts incorporated into it
- The name of the campaign could be written in the balloon that the panda is holding, or within the string of the balloon
