Our idea for The Panda Project is that it starts as a website in which people are able to sign up and become a part of the project in helping the pandas. When people sign up to the project, they receive all of the things that we are going to create: publication, t-shirt, stickers and a poster for just £15. The proceeds of this get shared between panda charities and WWF panda adoption . The publication also includes information on how to adopt a panda and a list of different panda charities that you can donate to and how you can do this.
Since the website is just used as the starting point to get people involved with the main design outcomes being the panda pack, the website doesn't need many pages as the main info comes from signing up in which you get the panda project pack. The website will include a launch page which then takes you to home page, home page includes info about the panda project (make it really touching and strong language and imagery etc) and a link to 'sign up to the panda project now and get your panda pack for just £15' this button takes you to the panda project page which tells you about everything it includes and the specific charities that the money goes to. The last page will be the check out page and thank you page which will display language like 'together we can protect the pandas'.
The panda project pack:
- A5 publication
- T-shirt (the website gives you colour options for the t-shirt
- Stickers (two A5 sticker sheets)
- Poster (the poster uses Emma's prints combined with typography and strong visual language)
Me and Emma have also researched into symbols that could be used within the designs. The Chinese alphabet uses beautiful shapes and symbols which is relevant towards pandas as they are China's national treasure. Through researching, the 3 symbols that I found most interesting relating to pandas represent peace, wisdom and patience.
