The publication will be split into 3 main sections:
- 1. The history of the panda: this includes information about what they represent, how they have an importance on the world, how long they've been around etc
- 2. The pandas life and vulnerability: This includes information about the process from endangered to vulnerable and how it happened as well as current threats that their lives are facing
- 3. The future for pandas: The ideal future for pandas and how we can provide this for them, information about panda charities that the money goes to and information about how the reader can further help the pandas
I have started to create the designs for the introduction page and the title pages for the 3 sections. The titles and typography on these pages follows the same colour block and scale experimentation used in the website in order to create consistency throughout the branding. The introduction page also includes The Panda Project logo alongside it.
Introduction text:
The Panda Project is an organisation that aims to raise awareness and protect the giant panda, pandas are precious creatures that have been a part of the animal kingdom for millions of years and therefore must be protected.
In September 2016 the International Union Conservation of Nature announced that pandas have been upgraded from “endangered” to “vulnerable”, this is definitely a step in the right direction, but there is still a long way to go to secure the safety of pandas in the long term. Together it is our mission to prevent them from becoming endangered again.
