Content Pages Ideas

I have created some initial sketches for the publication design before I start to work on the content pages, I have currently created title pages for each of the sections that the publication will cover as well as an introduction page so the next step is to consider how I will lay out the actual information and imagery on the rest of the pages.

The initial sketches focus on:
  • The cover: the cover would use Emmas print with a belly band cover around it which will display The Panda Project logo/title. This could be cut out of the belly band so that the print behind could be seen through
  • Heavily print based cover- lots of cover and loads going on so that it is engaging and eye-catching which is the aim of the branding
  • Some pages can be purely print and photograph as a lot of the pages will be heavily information based- create some contrast and a break between the texts
  • Curve the text around the shapes and prints in interesting ways
  • Big body text alongside headlines and large text to create contrast and boldness
  • Play around and experiment with different layouts on each page so that the publication is engaging throughout.
