Further Poster and Cover Development/Ideas

I decided that the design below would work better as a cover instead of the initial idea of using it as a poster due to all of the detailing and additional space for more information and imagery, peer feedback also suggested this.

The back uses the same imagery but as a more simple design through using the same background as the front cover with the Bratz icons in larger opacity in different placements to the front.

Additional details/content to add onto cover:

  • '2 Free posters inside!' info as a little sticker in a corner- look back at teen magazine and Bratz magazine research for size and placement
  • Bratz slogan: 'The girls with a passion for fashion' along the bottom perhaps?
  • Additional 'whats inside' details and text
  • Get peer feedback after adding further details

Cover research:

The posters have now been finalised. Poster 1 will be used in the middle half way through after Jade and Sashas section and Poster 2 will be used at the back as the last page after Cloe and Yasmins sections.

Poster 1 uses the initial idea of combining illustration and photograph side by side in an experimental collage layout which works well in creating a fun, busy overall aesthetic, it also uses the Bratz logo. Poster 2 follows a more minimal aesthetic through focusing on just illustration, showing all of the Bratz together as a group with a 2000's nostalgic Bratz background.

This coming week I will print test mockups of the lookbook with the posters and cover added in to see which/if any areas and pages needs further development. I will also arrange a meeting with Clare so I can show her and discucss any additional content that might look interesting.
