Further Lookbook Development

I have continued to develop the lookbook further as Claire sends in more illustrations, each page goes through a range of different layout and scale experiments with the position of the photographs along the illustrations until it works, each page has to follow a different, funky layout (see blog post 'Lookbook Development' for more).

Below shows the development for Yasmin's Winter Glam look page:

Layout 1

Layout 2

Layout 3- possible final

Below shows more of the developed pages near finalisation. 3 of the pages don't have illustrations on yet as I'm waiting for Clare to finish them.

Poster 2 is used in the middle of the lookbook, whereas poster 1 is used at the end. This poster follows a nostalgic Bratz doll aesthetic inspired by old Bratz posters and magazines covers, using the logo and each Bratz's personal logo icon.

This poster is in the middle after 2 of the Bratz's sections (Jade and Sasha). The second poster is at the end of the lookbook after the other 2 Bratz's sections (Cloe and Yasmin)

Poster 2- in the middle of the booklet

Poster 2 will be on the last page of the lookbook to keep the ending exciting (even though its the end of the book), poster 2 was used as the last poster rather than poster 1 as poster 2 focuses on all of the Bratz dolls together as a group. Poster 2 is illustration based whereas poster 1 is photograph and type based.

Poster 2- last page before back

Next week my aim is to finish off the look pages when Clare sends the rest of the illustrations through. I will also start working on the cover and start creating designs/stickers that will go on the freebies that will come with the lookbook, inspired by old teen magazines that would come with freebies such as stationary, lipgloss, stickers, mini toys.

I will also print off a test of the lookbook to see if it works physically and if any pages need tweaking/to check if there's any errors.
