Booklet Initial Ideas

I have now started to create the layout of the pages for the 'How to create Culturally Sensitive Design' booklet, the first step is to create a simple grid system which will be applied to every page.

The rules in the booklet need to be easy to understand, so the layout should also be simple and consistent throughout, with no unnecessary detailing.

I asked peers whether they think I should create the booklet in an A4 kettle/stab stitch format or an A5 saddle stitch. Peers said that I should do the booklet A5 as it works better for an informative booklet as it's easier to hold and manage. This is relevant as the 'how to' booklet is meant to be easy to understand with the simple rules, so the actual booklet should be easy to hold and read through as well.

Cover Developments:

The cover simply needs to display the title and possibly some additional imagery relating to culture and design using a minimal aesthetic. The cover still needs developing further but it will mainly focus on chunky, impactful typography to dominate most of the page.
