The process of screen printing was a bit rocky as to start with the screen didn't expose properly which meant the process of getting the screens perfect for printing took a lot longer, but we got there in the end, we exposed 3 screens in total.
We started with testing out the screens on different fabrics to the t-shirts incase something went wrong and to test the colours out. The colours we mixed from the panda project branding colour palette were pink, green and yellow.

When printing onto the black and blue t-shirts, the print room staff mentioned that it would be worth mixing the colours with matte laquer finish in order to make the colours stand out despite the t-shirt being a dark colour, they mentioned that if we were to use the original colour mixes, they would come out quite dull.
The colours still weren't exact to the colour palette, however this would have been too difficult to get absolutely spot on but we managed to get the colours as close as possible on the black and blue t-shirts. The colours on the black and blue t-shirts came out a bit light but the print room staff mentioned that the matte laquer dries darker with time, so hopefully the colours get darker.
Me and Emma will see how the colours dry over the weekend, if we are happy with the t-shirts we will stick to these ones, if not we might buy some more white t-shirts to print on next week as the screens are all exposed and ready for printing so it wouldn't take too long to print a couple more if needed. The photography studio also isn't booked for the t-shirt photoshoot till the 19th in which Nikita (photography student) will take the photographs.
