Today I had a 1:1 crit with Nick and 2 of my peers. Throughout the crit I showed the work that I have done for the panda project, mainly the publication and webpages. I explained the concept and how the user would receive the panda pack through visiting the website and ordering the panda pack in which the proceeds (£15 per pack) then go to the WWF and Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Centre.
Everyone seemed to really like the designs and branding that I've created for The Panda Project, they mentioned that the concept works really well and shows good research into pandas and their endangerment. They also mentioned that the positive and cute aesthetic works well to encourage people to help towards the organisation and raises awareness.
Feedback for development:
Nick mentioned that there should be a way that people find out about the website- the idea that he mentioned was that there could be large panda stickers/stamps outside in the wild that include the link/url to the website- the stickers/stamps would be in weird and random places which relates to the strange situations that pandas get themselves in since they're so clumsy.
Feedback also mentioned to do a test mockup of the publication before printing it digitally in colour- Nick mentioned that some of the pages don't need to be so full, so I'll go back and simplify some of the areas that are a little too busy. Feedback mentioned that the body text could also be smaller.
