Contacting Clare: @peachswizzle

For this brief, my plan was to collaborate with illustrator Clare Saunders that I know through a mutual friend. Her work is based on female fashion character designs with a very funky, edgy touch so I knew that a collaboration with her would be perfect for the Bratz lookbook. Were also both very into Bratz dolls as I remembered she has created illustrations based on them before that I loved.

I've met Clare before through one of my house mates that also studies illustration, he mentioned that she'd definitely be up for it as it's very her.

When I contacted her today she was very up for it as it's right up her street, she's also as passionate Bratz dolls in the same way that I am. I gave her a brief explanation of my ideas and research and the reasons for wanting to do this brief/the aims of the lookbook (a celebration of Bratz)

We have arranged to meet up on Monday to discuss some ideas which I'm really looking forward to.
