We have now developed the different outcomes and designs further towards finalisation following the crit with Nick this morning.
The first thing that was refined was the colour palette, we mentioned that our idea was to use the 3 colour palettes of 2-3 colours each as different options that we would show within our PDF submission, however Nicki mentioned that the colour palette worked well as one colour palette instead 3 separate ones. To develop this further we refined the colour palette to 4 main colours and will use white as text.
I also developed some more of the 2 colour gradient backgrounds to use areas of within the shapes and enlarged backgrounds within the webpage designs, entrance tickets and speaker screens.
I experimented with incorporating the experimental gradient backgrounds into the shapes which is shown below, however me and Jake both agreed that they look better as solid colour or a very subtle gradient if needed.
The entrance signs that I developed from the initial designs are shown below, we decided that we prefer design 1 and 2 to design 3 which uses the more experimental gradient background whereas design 1 and 2 are more subtle and sleek.

I also developed the opening home webpage further through experimenting with solid colour on gradient background vs the gradient shapes with the solid colour background.
Additionally, I think the background on design 3 is a little too busy and childlike so design 1 and 2 are the most successful at this point, we may show both versions in the development slides of the PDF submission but will probably decide on one to use for the final.

More experiments for the speaker screen and webpage launch page/screen saver are shown below.
I experimented with these further using final colour palette as well as the new gradient backgrounds. However, sometimes the gradient backgrounds do get a little bit busy for example on speaker screen 1 when they are combined with shape and text, but the background does work when it' enlarged and simpler on launch page design 1 alongside just text.
I really wasn't a fan on speaker screen design 2 where the gradients are incorporated into the shapes so this idea won't be developed further
