Evaluation

Overall, this collaboration with Nikita for creating her personal branding went well as we were able to communicate frequently throughout the process and she was pleased with the end designs. The final outcomes consist of the portfolio box which is branded using Nikita's logo with vinyl, inside the box is Nikita's prints with belly band packaging alongside an introduction card, business cards and packaged prints with sticker sealing.

I was really happy with how everything looked together physically, the branding and different outcomes as a collective work well together as the branding is consistent, professional and matches Nikita's style of photography.

The designs were very minimal and clean which isn’t completely my style as I like to work in a more vibrant and experimental way. However, the personal branding was for Nikita so it was important to create the designs in the way that she wanted which was an overall minimal, feminine and professional aesthetic, which I think I achieved well without making it look boring. If I were to design the business cards in my way for example, I’d use a more varied colour palette and also use foiling or spot varnish for the logo on the card.

Since the collaboration and communication went so well it actually meant that me and Nikita were able to become friends and in return she took the photographs for my final outcomes for the The Panda Project brief and also provided the two models to photograph wearing the t-shirts that I’d created for that brief. Nikita also mentioned that in the future I would be her go-to graphic designer if she ever needed anything else designing and in return she would be happy to help me photograph any future projects.
