Photoshoot Research

This afternoon I've gathered research on photoshoots of SZA that I feel would be appropriate for an album cover, particularly photographs that I feel portray SZA as an artist and the mood of the album well; soft, romantic, emotional. These include recent photographs of SZA since the album was released as well as older photographs, the photoshoots are with Calvin Klein, British Vogue, The Fader, Palace and more.

From my initial ideas, the idea of the designs being a combination of photograph and type were my favourite and felt most relevant towards the tracks. The album is very emotion and love based as SZA sings about her past experiences in depth, making her emotions feel very honest and pure. The album has a very personal approach so I want the designs to be heavily based on images of her.
