Final Crit

Today I had my final crit with Amber and peers. In the crit I explained what my COP essay focuses on and how that relates to my practical in terms of the theories and arguments that I have discussed and what I am trying to prove with my practical. The overall crit went well as the feedback I received mentioned that the practical work was strong and the links between the practical and essay were clear.

Amber mentioned that it would be appropriate to photograph the masala packaging in actual scenarios that they'd be in such as shopping baskets and stores, however this would be an issue as a lot of shops don't allow this so it'd be quite risky. I could photograph them on my phone in shopping baskets if I was actually buying things which I might try to do. An alternative to this would be to photograph them in cupboards, on shelves in the kitchen, with other food in shopping bags etc, which I will definitely do over the weekend.

Comments mentioned that I should also elaborate on and explain the links between the positive impacts of globalisation in the evaluation board and project statement, the fact that how the re-brand achieves a more global design, I mentioned that this was in order to appeal to more cultures as well as the main aim of the re-brand to be more culturally sensitive. Amber mentioned that this is definitely one of the main successes of the re-brand, previous peer feedback also mentioned that the new bold, contemporary re-brand works in looking more global and current.
