In previous group calls, Alec mentioned to create the design strategy as a landscape PDF with no more than 12 slides, so I'll be sticking to this, he also mentioned that I can include links to blog on it which is useful. The design strategy document should also be branded to match my self branding.
My design strategy should include contacting professionals, collaborations, live talks, visits, placement experience so I made a list of the things that I've done across the year that include these:
- Webinars, videos I've watched (TedTalks) and live talks
- Collaborations: Bratz Lookbook with Clare (Illustrator), The Panda Project (included prints by Emma, surface pattern designer), Personal Branding for Nikita (Photographer) and VMC Branding comp with Jake (Graphic Designer). Put emphasis on collaborations as I love doing them and have done a good number of them the past year with people of different creative interests!
- Visits/Events: Tate Liverpool, Manchester Whitworth Gallery, Manchester Digital Event
- Experience: Placement with Cohorted from June 2019- January 2020. What I learnt from it, the whole experience from start to end when things went not to plan
- Contacting professionals: emails I sent, who I contacted, responses etc
- Client work: Season Yorkshire and Bourbon Streat, include invoices, what I learnt, how successful the end project was as well as communication with the client.
